The 60ss, the steak, and the fashion

The night of March 25 was very well anticipated and buzzed about way in advance. It was THE_Mad_Men_night, when season 5 premiere aired. Many venues around the city (public and private) hosted viewing parties, but of course I will tell you about the one I attended, – in Bourbon Steak at Four Seasons DC. Private lounge was pure resemblance of that era, from beautiful outfits to floral table treatments, from waitresses’ uniforms to the drinks’ recipes… The only difference there were… nobody smoked (phew!) Two hours of season kick-off flew in a blink, and food and drinks never ended (too bad somebody had to drive home!)  Please enjoy the pictures!

Regarding the movie itself… I would say, it was “okay” appetizer – good enough to tease but not good enough to fully satisfy. It felt a little flat, like it was rushed and not thought out, like producers decided to rest on the clouds for a while. It would get full house anyway, why bother too much! Of course, fashions were impeccable. To me the most impressive is always not what leading actresses wear, but large crowds appearing on the screen for literally seconds!

Question of the evening – WHERE IS BETTY?
